Living With Cancer Is Still Living.
Metastatic breast cancer changes the way you think about time, uncertainty, and what matters most. But cancer does not have to become the measure of your entire life.
Faith Through Fire provides emotional support for women living with metastatic breast cancer through private community, trauma-informed care, meaningful connection, and intentional support designed to help you cultivate joy, purpose, and peace while living with an ongoing diagnosis.

There Is Still So Much Life Happening
Women in our metastatic community are living with cancer — and they are also working, parenting, traveling, building relationships, celebrating milestones, making memories, serving others, and encouraging women walking the same road.
That doesn't mean living with metastatic breast cancer is easy. It takes intentional work to live alongside uncertainty without allowing fear to consume every day.
We are here to help with that work.
Life is about more than surviving. It's about truly living.
Your medical team appropriately focuses on treating and managing metastatic breast cancer as a chronic disease. Our role is different. We focus on helping you stay connected to the life you are living right now.
Quality of life matters deeply. That means creating space for joy, connection, meaning, rest, relationships, faith, and the things that remind you that you are still you — not simply a person with cancer.
Cultivate Joy
Cancer can consume enormous mental space. We intentionally make room for laughter, connection, beauty, rest, and moments that feel like living rather than treatment.
Live With Purpose
Purpose does not have to mean doing more. It can mean being present, loving deeply, strengthening relationships, creating meaning, helping someone else, or choosing how you want to spend your energy.
Make Space for What Is Real
Hope and fear can exist together. You do not have to perform positivity here. There is room for uncertainty, grief, anger, faith, humor, gratitude, and everything in between.
Our goal is not to tell you how to feel. It is to help you stay connected to yourself, to others, and to what makes your life meaningful.
Support Built Around Community, Not Another Obligation
Women living with metastatic breast cancer often need something different from traditional one-to-one peer mentorship.
Faith Through Fire uses a group-care model for metastatic breast cancer support. It creates ongoing opportunities to connect with women who understand the emotional reality of living with cancer over time.
There is no pressure to show up a certain way, have the right words, or remain positive. Participate when connection helps. Step back when you need space. The community remains available to you.
A Place Where You Don't Have to Explain
Connect privately with other women living with metastatic breast cancer who understand scans, treatment changes, uncertainty, relationships, parenting, family life, and the everyday realities that can be difficult to explain to people outside this experience.
A Support Group Shouldn't Leave You Feeling Worse
We have heard from women who left cancer support groups feeling more anxious, discouraged, or emotionally depleted than when they arrived.
Sometimes groups are held in clinical settings, facilitated without a trauma-informed approach, or allowed to become dominated by one person's crisis, fear, or unresolved pain.
The struggle is real, and it deserves space. But support should not require every woman in the room to absorb someone else's distress.
Faith Through Fire takes a more intentional approach. Our metastatic breast cancer community is designed to create emotional safety, meaningful connection, healthy boundaries, and room for both honesty and hope.
Trauma-Informed Facilitation
We recognize that cancer can create trauma, anxiety, fear, grief, and heightened emotional responses. Group conversations are guided with that understanding in mind.
Space for Everyone
No one person should consume the emotional energy of the entire group. Facilitators protect the balance of the conversation so every woman has space to be heard and supported.
The Right Support for the Right Need
Sometimes a woman's needs extend beyond what a peer community can appropriately provide. When needed, we may recommend individual counseling or additional professional support rather than expecting the group to carry what requires individualized care.
Reality Without Losing Hope
We do not minimize metastatic breast cancer or ask women to stay positive. We acknowledge fear, grief, uncertainty, and loss while intentionally making room for joy, purpose, connection, faith, humor, and hope.
More Than a Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group
Living with metastatic breast cancer can create an ongoing cycle of scans, uncertainty, changing treatment, fear, and loss of control. Our support is designed around the emotional impact of living with ongoing cancer.
Private Metastatic Community
A private space to build relationships with women who understand what it means to live with metastatic breast cancer over time.
Counselor-Led Support
Facilitated support groups led by licensed counselors create space to process fear, uncertainty, relationships, identity, and the emotional realities of ongoing cancer.
EMDR Trauma Therapy
Faith Through Fire offers two EMDR trauma-therapy sessions to help address distressing experiences, fear, and the emotional trauma that can accompany metastatic breast cancer.
Priority House of Hope Stays
Women living with metastatic breast cancer receive priority consideration for restorative House of Hope stays at Innsbrook Resort — creating space to rest, reconnect, and spend meaningful time with the people they love.
What Would Make Today Feel Meaningful?
Metastatic breast cancer can make the future feel louder than the present. We want to help bring you back to the life happening now.
That may mean reconnecting with your spouse, taking the trip, sitting outside with coffee, laughing with friends, being present with your children, continuing your career, deepening your faith, encouraging another woman, trying something new, or simply allowing yourself to rest without guilt.
There is no single right way to live well with metastatic breast cancer. What matters is discovering what makes your life feel like yours.
We don't want cancer to become the measure of your life. We want to help you keep finding the moments, relationships, and purpose that make life worth living.
FAITH THROUGH FIREYou Don't Have to Pretend Everything Is Okay

Metastatic Breast Cancer Support FAQs
Who is this support for?
This pathway is designed specifically for women living with metastatic breast cancer who are looking for emotional support, community, and connection with others who understand ongoing cancer.
Will I receive an individual breast cancer mentor?
Our metastatic breast cancer support uses a group-care model rather than traditional one-to-one mentorship. This allows women to build connection with a broader community while also accessing counselor-led and trauma-informed support.
Do I have to participate in everything?
No. Engage with the resources and community in the ways that feel helpful to you. Our goal is to provide support, not create another obligation.
What if I am struggling more than a group can help with?
Group support cannot replace individualized mental-health care. When additional support would be more appropriate, Faith Through Fire may recommend counseling or other professional resources.
Do I need to live in Missouri?
Our private community and virtual support can extend beyond the St. Louis area. Some opportunities, including House of Hope, are located in Missouri.
Do I need to be Christian?
No. Faith Through Fire is Christian-founded and welcomes women of every faith and background.
